Tony, Geoff and Lennon are back in the hangar again this week (we tried to keep them out, but they bribed us with Fruity Oaty Bars), bringing you everything that’s happening around the UEE. In this week’s Squawk Box we discuss the Final Frontier and the players in the next great space-race. In CIG News this week we bring you our weekly Crowd Funding Update, Arena Commander Weekly Report #2 (along with a rant about ‘Alpha’ status), 10 For The Chairman episode 19, Galactic Guide: Pyro, Wingman’s Hangar 68, Tracker: Weapon Safety, The First Run: A Sorri Lyrax Delivery #4, the changes made now that the Multiple Organisation system is now live, Hangar Update 11.2 and the continuation of The Next Great Starship. In Nuggets For Nuggets we give you a brief run-down of all the new ships released as part of CIG’s Ship Stats Update, and we give you the chance to pick the topic for next week’s Nuggets For Nuggets, and finally we tune into the Feedback Loop and let you join in on the conversation.

Great work.. eyeing up your org on the strength of it. I saw that it was downvoted to f*** on Reddit, but then again, what do you expect from Reddit.

I dearly hope you lot keep doing this.

    Regards, SaL

Great show as usual guys. I gotta say that Lennon’s rant about Alpha access is a little misplaced. I highly doubt that CR is going to released a finished game, rather, a playable game. Think of it like this, why release a game, in which they already know the problems they are having, to thousands of folks that will just tell them what they already know. Additionally, the mechanics and staff to handle and process the bug reports is going to be require astronomical manpower. Those resources can be used now to fix what they know is broken.

We, the Alpha community, will have plenty to do to fix the plethora of bugs left over in crashes, game play mechanics, animations, and the all important balancing and realistic sim aspects, not to mention that this is just ONE MODULE. The PU Alpha is going to be lots of work. Lighten up guys. Try not to compare this Alpha with other mediocre games! This is the BDSSE! Think positive! Such downers this week!

The multi-org concept is going to be a winner, and I think will evolve into friends lists on large and small scales. It gives us options and I think it will bear itself out as the years go on. Org 2.0 will be more telling IMO, with Org forums, etc.

    Keep up the great work!

(Off topic: Is STO PTW? Or is it fun for the casual gamer? Thanks!)

STO is a pretty good free to play model in my opinion. You don’t need to spend a dime to access any content. There almost no PVP so pay to win is hardly an issue, but in any case, it isn’t. And you can buy all pay items in game.
