Geoff, Tony and Lennon are back in the hangar after another week full of sex, drugs and rock-and-roll… well, more like awkward conversations, metamucil and classic jazz… Moving right along! In this week’s Squawk Box, we check out the reuse of common naming conventions in the aerospace industry and the virtual aerospace industry. In CIG News we bring you everything that’s happening around the UEE, including our weekly Crowd Funding Update, Star Citizen Patch 1.2.1, the poll from Stoddard Research Center, the latest Star Marine Update and the launch of the Community Hub. In Nuggets for Nuggets we’re off to the Aegis Press Conference, and finally we tune into the Feedback Loop and let you join in on the conversation.

    Good show!

The community hub is without a doubt great! But has by far not reached it’s full potential even with the announcment of certain future updates. I would love to see podcast’s and radios directly accessible (streamable). As super special BDSSE bonus would be the hubs content ingame. For the longer travel especially audiostreams and maybe videostreams… but this is at moment just a fantasy. I would love to hear Guard Frequency over my ships commsystem or some SC elavator.

Forum lock down I think you all got some good views on that. I have no issues with backers only forum especially that this is the only source where all backers can come together 😉 and we should be able to talk in a closed circle even if we are all a bit of a freaked out “Fangirl/boy”.

    review:
That who shall not be named, oh boy this guy makes me angry (he burns my money). I loved what you did there (smart one *cough*) but unfortunately that makes him some kind of mysterious. On the other hand you guys are handling the talk about him as serious as it should be and maybe someday there would come out a fair feeling solution to proceed with guys like him. At moment it feels like the only recognizeable solution is to go as far as he did and claim to sue his ass off just to show him that he is not the only one who dares to go the extra mile.

You should extract your lore content and host it additionally on the hub and site. It will also sum up to good base material for infiction ingameradio someday.

The transition from part to part was just slightly too loud. I turned down the volume of my headphones when it came.

The standard end was too long. I heard it all in the hope of the outtakes or some nice sideinfos …

sorry for my english didn’t thougt to write as much as I did…

    Great show all.

I don’t mind the new forum rules. In my experience, any internet community that doesn’t have a paywall requires constant vigilance in order to maintain civility. I’d rather CIG keep using the money we give them to develop the game better and faster over hiring more people to monitor the forums (and/or monitor the people who monitor the forums).

The point of giving money to CIG’s crowdfunding is to be involved in the development process – that’s always been the message from the beginning. Posting on the forums influences development (the devs have said multiple times that they check the forums) so I see this as a small measure of reclaiming a privilege of backing.

Great show guys and one of the best nuggets yet. I agree with Heremus, “You should extract your lore content and host it additionally on the hub and site.” As far as the Hub is concerned, I’m glad they have it but from a web design point of view, they have a LONG LONG way to go.

I think it’s a great idea they made these forum changes. It’s a long time coming. One thing I’m sure you are aware of now that you did not mention was the sub-section for “New Recruits” that allows anyone to post. People with legitimate complaints about SC/CIG can take them to a myriad of other forums/blogs if they are unwilling to give a paltry $5 to make their voices heard on CIG’s forums. One does not have to buy a package to get “Backer” status.
