    Dearest Guard Frequency Response:

I would like to engage your Organization to help locate a very important space person. A space person who has been missing for too long. I don’t have a lot of personal information about this person to pass along to you, but I do know that he (or she) is now missing completely from CIG. In lieu of a proper name let’s call this person ‘what-the-hell-are-we-paying-you-for-guy (or gal).’ Of course, he (or she) would (or should) be the person (or persons) disallowing all these CIG own-goal faux paus we have come to accept as par for the course. Disallowing them before they see the light of day. The most recent occurrence of course being the midnight before term paper is due Destiny armor IP rip off.

Of course I kid. I do kid, though I’m not laughing (anymore). The Star Citizen days ahead for me are but a vacuum without consequence. The stars will continue to dim and then probably go out. Maybe a new sun will rise. Maybe not.

Tony was right this time, and he was right last time about the Venture / Vulture. Tony was right about the other ship I can’t care to remember the name of anymore too; and most important, Tony was prophetically right a long time ago about CIG desperately needing better (or any apparently) meaningful internal oversight.

All this said, I do agree with the other fellow who said that Destiny-Gate didn’t grow legs because no one cares. I do believe that this is true as regards a significant portion of the OG backer / fans who still remain. The settlers. The acceptors. The eternal time-biders. That the game isn’t for any of us OG-genarians anymore must not matter much to these folks. Such is life. I think Darwin said that.

But then there are still the rest of us. I, along with other like-minded backers / fans, who have left our caring behind. You can’t know us because we have silently moved on. We don’t post (anymore), and we don’t chat (anymore). We are the empty bunk in game that nobody sleeps in, both sides of the pillow long ago gone cool. Maybe we haven’t cashed in our ships, but we have left. We have left truly caring about what we once believed to be a special relationship. Relationships need trust to survive. There must be a song to that effect somewhere.

All hail the Big Game Developer Simulator 2950! We paid for it, and Alpha version 3.2 is available to download now!

    Love,

    Bobo
