If you own multiple ships or have used your hard-earned credits to buy weapons at the VD store then you might want to try equipping different guns on your ship but might be a little unsure how to do this. Well, lucking Guard Frequency are here to save the day!
The first step is finding your holotable. Generally it’s positioned near your first ship, or at the firing range in your hangar. Walk up to that sucker and interact with the [F] key.
Center the holotable projection in your view, and press Tab to enter interactive mode.
Then, using the Left Mouse Button, drag the ship you wish to interact with into the main viewing area. This will select the ship to be used in the other tabs
Use the left mouse button to drag the menu-select bar at the top of the interactive area to select WEAPONS
Using the right mouse button, orient the image of your ship to give good access to the now highlighted weapons and hardpoints
You can remove weapons by dragging them from your ship to the weapon list to the right of the projected image of your ship, or add them by dragging a weapon from any source on top of a highlighted weapon or hardpoint orb; watch for mount size and class to appear at the bottom of the item description pane to the left of the main interactive area
If you appear to loose a hardpoint, look for a small disk-shaped object in your weapon list; drag this item to the location of the missing hardpoint
Changes happen in real-time, so as soon as you equip a weapon on your ship via the holotable, it will actually appear on your ship. There is no need to save the configuration, so when you’re done press F to switch off the holotable and walk away.
This Week’s Community Question
- Does every teenage from here to the Magnus system own their own spacecraft, or is this just a problem that the rich and bored have? What would it mean for the ship-economy of Star Citizen if every teenager did have their own starship?
