Tony, Lennon and Geoff are back and better than ever for your weekly serving of Guard Frequency. In this week’s Squawk Box we discuss the events of the Antares and Virgin’s Space Ship 2. In CIG News we get you right up to speed with everything that’s happening around the UEE including our weekly Crowd Funding Update, the latest Letter From The Chairman, the Drake Herald reveal, and we’re joined by our Executive Producer Elliot Tan and our Community Manager Justin “Chivalrybean” Lowmaster as we discuss the latest Arena Commander patch 0.9.2 and all the details about the FPS Module Team and PAX Australia. In Nuggets For Nuggets we thought that with the release of the Herald it was a good time to tell you all about Drake Interplanetary; and finally we tune into the Feedback Loop and let you join in on the conversation.

So the difference between the Super Hornet and the Bulldog is specifically listed in the description.

“Specifically designed to operate from planetary bases and engage targets up to a star system’s distance, the fighter trades some maneuverability for an extended supply of fuel and munitions as well as basic survival accommodations for a pilot and radar operator.”

This ship is designed to go a lot further on a tank of gas as well as carry more missiles (because you won’t have an opportunity to reload.) There’s also mention of survival accommodations. That’s open to interpretation, I’d take that to mean it at least has a couple of beds.

Also, the Cutlass is already a search and rescue ship.

    Wonderful episode everyone.

I really want to hear more voice work by the munchkin trying to do the “on your feet nuggets” speech.

    Excellent show.

I really like the latest Arena Commander patch – definitely feels more natural than previous versions. The new ITTS system is good, but I think the reticles need to be a little easier to see – I’m constantly losing them in the background, particularly on the very blue Broken Moon map.

Also, has anyone noticed the Van’duul now fly into asteroids and each other more often in VS? I feel like I’ve watched more suicides than a cult leader.

AI hitting asteroids is a known bug for this release.
