Guard Frequency Episode 065 | Priority Frequency

Greetings Citizens and Civilians, you’re tuned to episode 065, of Guard Frequency, the universe’s premier Star Citizen podcast recorded on 27th March 2015 and released for streaming and download on Wednesday, April 1st 2015 at GuardFrequency.com [Download this episode]

Cits and Civs, first, a confession. We lied. There were no technical difficulties. It was all a cunning ruse, carefully engineered with the crew at Priority One! In this week’s Squawk Box, we check out a newly discovered exoplanet HD904790B, and why it means living here on Earth suuuuucks. In CIG News we bring you everything that’s happening around the UEE including our weekly Crowd Funding Update, the continued instability with multiplayer and 1.1, a great report from an exclusive Star Citizen event from listener Nighthawk_Zale and the latest details on the Vanguard Concept Ship Sale. We’re skipping Nuggets this week to bring you an interview with Ben Lesnick, Community Manager of Cloud Imperium Games; and finally we open Hailing Frequencies upon Hailing Frequencies to create a Feedback Loop and let you join in on the conversation.

You cross breed a P-38, F-14 and an A-10, and that ticks all of the right buttons! Is like falling in love again! I got one. I loved that the Priority One Podcast guys hosting as well, may it happen again. So say we all!

Cute show; the guest hosts were great. I missed the livestream recording but given how you guys structured this episode I can imagine what a nightmare putting that together would have been.

I’m afraid I won’t be picking up any Vanguards. I can’t bring myself to drop over $100 for a ship. The only one that’s tempted me is the Starfarer, since dogfighting isn’t one of my primary interests in the ‘verse, but I haven’t even been able to pull the trigger even when that ship comes up for sale.

I was encouraged by the interview with Ben; You guys had mentioned in the past that Cookie was not a Star Citizen enthusiast, but the revelation that she could actually persue one of her in-game hobbies and possibly incentivise others into joining her seemed to pique her interest.

P.S. Cookie’s pitch for a “friendly wingman” in the last episode sounded a little too inviting…especially given how interested she seemed to be in becoming a pirate and robbing other people.

I love the Vanguard, but 250 is way too much for my blood.Wonderful dual show, happy to hear from Ben.
