Great show as usual, hoping to be there for the call-in one.

I have to say that getting word from the Chairman himself did restore my faith in the overall vision. For better or worse, hearing from Chris about things feels more authoritative than getting things from the other sources; the various “10 for the” shows and even Reverse the Verse had started to feel like political press conferences where they were throwing up smokescreens in order to avoid directly addressing any of the real issues.

Regarding one of Tony’s minor quibbles; I wonder if they’re avoiding doing full disclosure on the details of their problems in order to waylay the doomsayers. As something of a pessimist myself, I know how easy it is to adopt the attitude that a problem is insurmountable. Given how much of what they’re doing is new to one degree or another, I think they have a legitimate concern that releasing all of the details would invite people familiar with coding or design to declare the problem(s) unsolvable and create a panic in the community. It wouldn’t be done out of malice but it would have the same effect just because they are credible enough sources that people would believe them.
