Elite Dangerous

Elite Dangerous released a dot-dot patch this week, which was nice and good. They also announced the official grand opening of the community calendar. And it’s already got stuff, and also things on it! One noticeable absence: no one is filling in the Thargoid fun hole yet! Let’s get that on the calendar, please. And there is a new community goal featuring an obvious outcome favored by the dev team, in the form of double-engineered heat sinks.

Star Citizen

Star Citizen is talking up the 3.17 release and all the things they are 90% sure are going to make it into the patch. Refueling, and tweaks to mining and life support. And we got to see a visual preview of a prototype “space vacuum cleaner,” where the phrase “go suck on a hull plate” is an invitation to FUN🌈, Star Citizen Style.

Resurgence

Have you ever wanted to tell Ambassador Spock to go stick it in his pointy ear, you green blooded hobgoblin? Well, you probably won’t be able to, unless the dialogue menu of Star Trek: Resurgence has an obvious “chaotic evil” narrative path. But what the upcoming game from developer Dramatic Labs will have is a hybrid point and click storytelling adventure along the lines of Star Trek: A Final Unity, and Star Trek: Borg. And a voice actor who is a dead ringer for Leonard Nimoy.
