Elite: Dangerous

Elite Dangerous has given us all a much needed rest from all the exciting buildup and tension and foreshadowing and whatever. While there are no new Stargoids to report, some of the mysterious intruders are now visible from systems in the bubble. So… they’re getting super close! Also, they’ve gone back to the formula that they should never have strayed from. That’s right: module bribery! This week’s community goal will let you earn your choice of a juiced-up Guardian Plasma Charger or a shield-busting multicannon. So, depending on your loyalties, you can either stomp on bugs or murder humans – no pressure.

Star Citizen

Star Citizen conducted yet another Evocati test of Early Access Pre-Alpha Release Candidate Prototype Experimental Test Build 3.18. This is the third test in a row that is simply “log in and spawn a ship.” Preliminary reports indicate that stability has improved, but apparently at the cost of single-digit server frames per second. So… that’s an interesting trade-off. And for the love of God, don’t log into Arena Commander or Star Marine. Also, both the Squadron 42 and Star Citizen monthly reports are out… but you only need to read one of them, because there’s a lot of overlap.
