Elite Dangerous bids a fond farewell to one of its favorites as Community Manager Extraordinaire Sally Morgan-Moore sets sail for greener pastures as her train leaves the station – as well as other metaphors. Also, Frontier released its full formal annual report and Tony skimmed it for anything interesting. Good news everyone: Odyssey was NOT the worst mistake Frontier ever made!

Star Citizen

Star Citizen released Early Access Pre-Alpha Release Candidate Prototype Experimental Test Build 3.21.1: PYRO PLAYGROUND to the Wave 1 testers on the Preview Server, and it may not have melted anything. And we have been told to review the new UI shown at Citizen Con and – over Tony’s strenuous objections – we’re going to talk about base building.

Gaming Industry Implosion

The games industry continues to shed workers and consolidate studios – which then tend to shed more workers. Is this the end of the industry and are we doomed to spend the rest of our lives working through our Steam back-catalogs? Will those games still work? We don’t know either, but we’re sure gonna act like we do.
