Elite: Dangerous

Elite Dangerous is running its annual holiday festivities and if you’ve done the previous festivities, these festivities will offer some slightly different flavors of the same goodies. Frontier released Update 17.01 this week, which offered a few stability and bug fixes. And then they canceled the Holiday Livestream, probably because awkward silences and repetitive conversations are meant for FAMILY holidays, not holiday Twitch streams.

Star Citizen

Star Citizen released Early Access Pre-Alpha Release Candidate Prototype Experimental Test Build 3.22 to the LIVE server. They are also performing another Replication layer test all weekend on the Test Server. And CIG is still struggling to come up with a good way to give away ships during in-game events without lots of players feeling left out or cheated.

HunterNet Starfighter & Space Engine

HunterNet Starfighter announced its next set of development goals and Fernando has a pretty big to-do list for 2024. And a Research Badger sent me a link to a court case in Michigan that provides a cautionary tale for those who take equity stakes in small companies – and also those who don’t keep a VERY close eye on their community managers.
