Elite: Dangerous
Elite Dangerous asked a very serious question this week. Would you like more immersion, or better gameplay? And the answer the community gave on the forum was: IMMMMMMERSION. We’ll talk about whether the community knows what kind of experience they want and the customer is always right, or if they need to be told they’re wrong for the good of the game. And if anyone wants to actually PLAY Elite Dangerous, that’s becoming a thing for our group again. Also, more deep powerplay thoughts, by Jack Handy.
Star Citizen
Star Citizen released Early Access Pre-Alpha Release Candidate Prototype Experimental Test Build 3.24.3 PTU.9420892 to the PTU Server for all Waves. This patch is testing the new content for IAE which starts on November 22 and will run through December 5. I can’t tell you how many ship sales they can cram into this baby! And this week’s ISC is chock full of great news for server meshing and everything is going to be just fine and also there is no clue as to when it’s actually going to be finished. Or even when it’s going to stop being 3.18-broken.
Helldivers 2, Hunternet Starfighter, and Void Crew
Helldivers 2 commissioned the Democracy Space Station this week, and its debut is the most Helldivery – Helldiverish? – thing they’ve ever done. HunterNet Starfighter released a YouTube playlist consisting of almost four and half hours of training videos. The twenty-one clips cover everything from basic flight to VR setup to stealth to carrier command. With timestamps and chapters and bookmarks and everything, you can easily find the tips and tricks you need to get you out into the deep black. And finally, Void Crew has announced that version 1.0 will release on November 25! Everyone, to your meat tubes!
