Links & The Like

Elite: Dangerous

Elite Dangerous teased a new concept vehicle on the Website Formerly Known As Twitter. On August 6, they’ll reveal what is almost certainly a new SRV. Yes, that’s what we thought it was the last time FDev released a teaser screenshot. But this time, there’s an actual wheel in the picture. Also their Social Media Post Formerly Known As A Tweet said QUOTE Break new ground END QUOTE. So we feel that our prediction is pretty safe this time. Also, a July dev blog went up on the website talking about the Nomad and Operations, so that’s nice. You know what’s not nice? No clue about when the next Operation is coming out.

Star Citizen

Star Citizen released Early Access Pre-Alpha Release Candidate Prototype Experimental Test Build 4.10.0 PTU 12358556 to the PTU server for Wave 1. This is the fourth PTU patch this week. Are they trying to stabilize the build BEFORE releasing it to the Live server? It’s a bold strategy, Cotton, let’s see how it plays out. And if you’re in Wave 1 please focus your testing on the Recco Battaglia mission. Except CIG knows the mission sometimes doesn’t start. And they disabled part 2. And you can’t progress past Part 2 until they turn it back on. But it needs your focus. Also, CIG’s technical prowess is once again on display as an eight year old Knowledge Base post was finally taken down – hopefully permanently. It seems like the Star Citizen patcher sometimes has a little trouble with Windows and all its pesky security features. Hey,do you know how CIG wanted you, the customer, to fix that issue? Guess. Go on, guess.

Star Trek Legens, Helldivers 2, and Interstellar Frontier

Star Trek Legends is a two year old RPG that Henry loves that is sunsetting September 3. And what’s the use of being on a podcast if you can’t rant about things like this. Helldivers 2 announced their latest crossover effort will be released on August 12. The Warhammer 40K warbond will enter the Galactic War at War O’Clock on Warsday. With a handful of new weapons and skins, Tony’s ready to shell out another ten bucks to see what all the fuss is about. AND ALSO: Interstellar Frontier is a great new game developed by Henry. And he has just a short update for everybody.
