Elite: Dangerous

Elite Dangerous released their brand new Operation: Under Siege. Commanders have to work with Steven Segal to rescue a stripper hidden inside a cake on a Navy battleship from mercenaries… wait a minute, no, sorry. Commanders have to rescue a settlement from mercenaries before a captured Navy battleship jumps in overhead. Apologies, folks, got a little mixed up there. It’s a true combined arms operation that works best if players have a mix of weapons and gear and act cooperatively. Also, FDev released their annual financials and is using some of those sweet guineaquids to hire a writer for the game. Finally, the blue transporter tunnel under your ship might be going away and FDev is sorry for nerfing the space buck generator AGAIN.

Star Citizen

Star Citizen released Early Access Pre-Alpha Release Candidate Prototype Experimental Test Build 4.10.1-PTU 12625701 to the PTU server. This time, the part of the inventory system that stows and unstows your ship is probably fixed, and CIG would like you to check to make sure that it is. And to show you that things are definitely on track, a new web series called Inside CIG debuted last month. It was directed by Oliver “Ollie” Hull and Executive Produced by Sandi “Gardiner” Roberts. Oh and Jared “Disco Lando” helped a little, but not as much as the Manchester Studio Experience Team. Funny thing, they started filming it THE DAY AFTER the terrible livestream posted. Also, according to the latest Letter from the Chairman, Squadron 42 is officially delayed until Q2 2027 because GTA 6. Surprise! But it will still find an audience because it will be on Steam.

Helldivers 2, NMS, and Interstellar Frontier

Helldivers 2 announced that as of last month, they had 22.9 million players, which means that on average, each player has been killed 306 times. Tony doesn’t like to brag, but he’s been killed ten times as much. Hell, he’s killed almost as many Helldivers personally. Also, No Man’s Sky has released yet another free update: Cosmos. Players can now build a space station, join an alliance, and use a space map to navigate in space. Also, there’s a new Expedition called Our Journey Continues which takes players through the ten years of updates to the game.
