Elite Dangerous was SUPPOSED to drop the final dot-patch yesterday , but they pushed that back until NEXT Thursday. Our guess is that the final updates before console-tuning-hibernation were just too much fun and FDev doesn’t ever want it to end! This is important because the community team is facing the same problem we faced five years ago. What do you do when the game you’re covering stops releasing news? And also, Tony thinks the ground engineers suck, but he’s not going to be shy about telling the devs how to fix it. Spoiler Alert: you just code it.
Star Citizen answered some questions about Early Access patch 3.14. Questions like: did Disco Lando bribe you guys to put Bespin in the game with collectible action figures or just plain old cash? And the Diet Pipsy’s are back, this time tasting almost exactly like regular Pipsy.
And Descent Underground’s lawsuit takes another turn as Little Orbit decides that keeping things secret and confidential is a total drag and, you know what? They’re just not gonna do that anymore.
Community Questions
- What do you think about random drops gating game progression?
- And are you ready to send congratulation cards to the Wingman for what APPEARS to be his big win?
